You're thinking of Potentilla, sometimes/commonly referred to as Cinquefoil. Pretty easy mistake Phil - I thought the same when I first saw it too. I think what OP has is actually ditchweed as suggested by @grasscoty - really low grade cannabis hemp that'll give u a whopper of a headache lol. I remember back 20-something years ago on a train chugging through Iowa? and for a hundred plus miles it was growing along the railroad tracks. Fun to see - useless as all hell to try and use for anything medical/recreational. J
