Is this weed mouldy?

    Hey guys, first post etc,

    I bought this weed a couple days ago and back then it smelt like seriously strong stuff. Opened it just now and it smells really strange. I can't really describe the smell. Did some research and now I think it might be mouldy. Took some pictures to ask people more experienced than I if there are mould spores on this that I could be mistaking for crystals.     It don't look moldy to me, what does it smell like? what did you store it in?

    It smells....I guess I would almost describe it as yeasty? Certainly nothing like it did a few days ago. I stored it in a baggie, in a little tin box (edit: the one in the pictures, in fact) in my drawer. I've stored other stuff like that for way longer and never had this before.

    (I should also point out that I searched and found the thread with pictures of mouldy weed, but I really couldn't tell if this was similar to that)

    pictures aren't too close but it doesn't look like it. Just decent frost:smoke:

    Looks perfect to me. does the weed smell more stingy or planty rather than skunky or danky. If so your good don't worry about it.


    lol at my use of y's to make words into adjetives.

    Hard to tell from pics - but mould we be fairly easy to see & smell, make sure its dry before storing it in a baggie

    Yeah, sorry about the picture quality, iPhone camera can't get too close without losing focus somewhat. I'm suspicious about the could-be-mould-but-also-could-be-crystals because I live somewhere where getting really good weed is a severe rarity. It DID smell really good when I first got it, but that's completely gone now and left me sorta worried.

    Looks fine.

    Sometimes weed loses its smell, and can smell a bit weird or dirty, its normal

    Looks good to me. I've gotten mids that kinda smell like hay before. Maybe thats what yer smelling.

    Thanks for all the help so far, everyone. Glad the general consensus is it's fine.

    I'm a little more wary than I would be because tomorrow night I plan to use this bud to introduce my friend to weed. He's asthmatic, so we'll be using my VG, but I read mould in weed can cause respiratory issues and I didn't wanna fuck him up any worse.

    Well in that case, if you are worried about his asthma I would suggest just picking up another dub it wont cost much and it will most likely be fresh.

    To be honest mate - it looks fine, mould should be easy to notice, just keep it dry.

    You are right to worry as you should never smoke mouldy weed

    I think OP is just trying to show off his buds. Clearly anyone should be able to tell that, that is not moldy what so ever.

    hahah, I hardly think they're worth showing off, man! I've just never had or seen mouldy weed before and the smell had me worried. Consider it more "being a noob" than anything else.
