i heard that if theres evergreen trees around the soil will be too acidic for the herb to grow and is this true??? thanks in advance
Soils in old growth forests and heavily wooded areas are inhabited mostly by fungi, whose waste and by-products are acidic (lowers ph) in nature. Soils found in vegetable gardens and lawns are inhabited with mostly bacteria, whose waste and by-product make the soil more alkaline or basic (raises ph).
