Is This -Too- Much Air In Dwc? Inquiring Minds Want To Know

  1. Hey folks,

I have this air pump, it's 65 l/min, or 1050 gph, and have been hoping to use it for my two dwc 5 gallon buckets. That's way, way past what I've been reading is the minimum required rating for maxing out DO but I've been reading claims that contact with the bubbles themselves gives more oxygen. Is there an upper limit besides physical damage? Do you think that much air will shred fishbone roots?

While I have your kindly attention, does anyone have any opinion or experience with the Modularhydro spider AIT airstone thingy? It looks pretty awesome, and big enough to handle my oversized pump.
