No I dont think so! It has to be activated carbon, and I dont see where it reads taht in the ad. If it DOES read activated carbon, then you are OK.

It is. The pellets keep the carbon from compacting and restricting air flow... those should be perfect. -Loki
I just got a bag of that. It's different packaging than what is shown on amazon -- it reads: ECONOMY ACTIVATED FILTER CARBON PELLETS. I figure the pellets are good because they can always be crushed in the coffee grinder if powder is needed for other applications.
