Is this the right carbon?

    Is that the right activated carbon to make a carbon filter out of?

  3. Why yes it is, pretty much any ol' activated carbon will do :)

    It has to be activated carbon, and I dont see where it reads taht in the ad.
    If it DOES read activated carbon, then you are OK.

  6. I just got a bag of that. It's different packaging than what is shown on amazon -- it reads: ECONOMY ACTIVATED FILTER CARBON PELLETS. I figure the pellets are good because they can always be crushed in the coffee grinder if powder is needed for other applications.
