Is this sufficient for a MMJ rec.?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by superkev000, Sep 18, 2009.

  1. can people with experience getting a card or have the know-how tell me if these are good reasons for being prescribed marijuana? I am an 18 year old male, living in pasadena, California! woop woop

symptoms for usage of medical marijuana: (in order from most important to least important reasons)

-chronic morning nausea > - i have had this for the past 2 years now. every morning i feel very sick to my stomach and can't eat until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. so yes, i havent eaten breakfast in like years. (xcept the days i have had cannabutter brownies tho)

-stomach cramps/ anxiety/nervousness > Along with my nausea, i get severe stomach cramping in my upper stomach/duodenum regions. This is mainly triggered by my nausea, but anxiety helps to aggravate the symptoms

-lack of diet/nutrition > Due to these problems, i have not had a proper diet, and over time have become very skinny, almost to an unhealthy extent. These imbalances has also caused me to have IBS for the past year and half now.

I have been to many many doctors, from the Huntington Hospital in LA to the UCLA medical center and a lot in between. I have had tests ranging from colonoscopys to endoscopys to ultrasounds, and have an extensive medical record for my gastro-intestinal regions. All the doctors can for sure say that i even have is IBS. (so much for doctors huh T_T)

I currently am prescribed Promethazine (sedative/anti-nausea/antihistamine) and Lomotil (which slows down my gastro-intestinal motility. Im very tired of mainly taking promethazine because since im sick in the mornings, i take it, and i just fall rite back asleep or feel drowsy and irritable.

I feel that marijuana instantly can help my nausea/anxiety, thus stopping my stomach cramps and such. I believe that medical marijuana can cure all my symptoms except my IBS.

Is this enough to get a MMJ recommendation? (sorry if some details are a little hard to understand or dont make sense, i scratched this up fast)

  2. Most likely, yes. Just make sure you find a reputable doctor and bring in copies of your medical records.

  3. ok, thanks a lot, uve helped me out 2 days in a row :), thanks

  4. That's more than enough to get a recommendation.
