Hey guys so I just bought a sharpstone grinder and found a small metal shaving and am a litle worried that it could be fake. I already looked at the counterfeit guide but i think it may be one of the older models since it doesnt come with a patent number. So i just want you guys to please check it out and tell me if i should return it. http://imgur.com/yPWZDkw,FAPyiUI,VsXvMX4,LOoFLkt,hhAGXN3,mUF01bd,zGqz6JI,iEoo2AY,3R10KW0,MKH7voT
Who cares if it's fake or not? You found metal shavings in it, obviously you should return it.Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Yea sharpstones dont do that, it must be counterfeit or defective. Return it. Also where is the chip/flake? I guess that first picture?
I threw it away but when I found it it was on the magnetSent from my Nexus 4 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
The Sharpstone site has an identification page that goes into detail. Biggest give away on a fake Sharpstone is that it will have a TM (trademark) beside the name. If it has an R (registered trademark) then it's most likely real. From the pics you provided it appeared to have the TM, which would mean fake. Response to the "who cares if it's fake...I'm cheap blah" big difference in perform and if you can't see that no point talking to you. No telling what those knock offs are made out of as well as lack of quality control. But got ahead and buy fake shit, only keeping the supply if the good stuff up.
