is this russia farce finally dead??

  1. Now you're suggesting Trump modified the Republican platform to accept Russia's bad behavior for personal benefit? Do you think this Russian connection is all about money? Is that what everyone is suggesting when they talk about collusion? What other reason would Trump have to modify the Republican platform in that way? Why do you think he's on Russia's side if it's not about the money?

  6. It may or may not be a "farce" but the regressive right wingnuts are certainly not as patient with this investigation as they were with say HRC and Benghazi as well as other investigations. Why all the complaining about the length of time or expense when investigations by the GOP on Obama's watch took much longer and were more costly? Some of the same politicians who are complaining the loudest were actually leading investigations that lasted longer.... so they know why it takes awhile to build a case and still they failed with theirs...

Here is a little tid bit though still "unproven" as all dots have not been connected at least by those outside of the FBI but Russia is in the mix here as well.

Donald Trump, Anthony Kennedy and the “boy” at Deutsche Bank: Not just about the money
There’s a tangled web linking the Trump and Kennedy families. But financial corruption isn’t the whole story

Balzac knew that behind every great fortune there is a crime. But if he was contemplating the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, the great French novelist might have put it another way: Behind every great crime is another crime.

As a way of looking at a presidency that is enamored of every possible felony -- self-dealing, conflicts of interest, emoluments, collusion with foreign governments and domestic corporations -- crime-breeds-crime is a reasonable way to look at any Trump-related event.

But the resignation of a Supreme Court justice?

Because Trump cares so much about money, that’s been suggested. And there’s smoke: the links between Trump, Kennedy and Kennedy’s son Justin. In years past we’d call that the League of White Men, taking care of their own, behind the scenes, The Way It Is. Today we tend to call it something else: collusion.

Here’s why. On the surface, Kennedy’s resignation looked textbook: He’ll leave effective July 31, at the end of the Supreme Court term, as is traditional. But he announced it on June 27. Hand-delivering his letter to the Oval Office was no surprise to the White House, which had a list of candidates ready to roll out. Trump says he’ll announce his nominee on July 9.

    Why the rush?

If Kennedy had waited a few weeks, some analysts believe Trump couldn’t have gotten his successor approved before the midterm elections. If the Democrats did well in November, it’s at least conceivable they could have blocked any conservative nominee. Approving a nominee before November means our likely future has the court killing Roe v. Wade, giving more power to corporations, turning the poor and minorities into serfs, exiling or detaining Others the president might choose to torture. That’s huge. But let’s consider the bottom line: For Donald Trump, the only real issue of interest is . . . himself. If a 4-4 Court had to rule on a difficult question -- Does the president have the power to pardon himself? -- it might not go well for Trump.

What started the speculation about dirty money connecting Trump, Kennedy and his son is the revelation that Kennedy and Trump have had a longstanding relationship through their children and their children’s success. We knew about Trump’s dealings with Deutsche Bank, the only bank willing to do business with him. (It’s also, perhaps not coincidentally, the bank that seems to have the longest illegal relationship with laundered Russian money. In January 2017, it was fined $425 million by New York regulators to settle allegations that it helped Russian investors launder as much as $10 billion through its branches in Moscow, New York and London.) But we’re just finding out about the Trump relationship with Justin Kennedy, the justice’s son, who worked at Deutsche Bank for a decade.

  7. The HRC investigations were tantamount to your best friend "investigating" you or the police "investigating" a cop.

  8. Appears Benghazi investigation lasted 2 1/2 yrs or 30 months and the guy who was giving the FBI hell the other day (on video at link) was leading that one... he is now giving FBI hell for taking so long and costing so much... selective amnesia is an epidemic in this country between the 2 parties.

    Benghazi by the numbers
The Benghazi Select Committee was tasked with investigating how four Americans were killed, including US Ambassador Chris Stephens, when attackers raided the US compound in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012.

The select committee itself was created by House Republicans in May 2014. The committee issued its final report on the Benghazi attack a little more than two years later in June 2016 and was officially shut down in December 2016. The select panel spent $7 million during the course of the probe.

The committee ultimately issued an 800-page report, which faulted the Obama administration on a number of fronts, and lawmakers questioned Clinton for 11 hours in an October 2015 hearing.
The length and cost of the investigation were two frequent points of criticism for Democrats, but the larger fight was whether the committee was really an effort to derail Clinton's presidential campaign.

  10. The two party system giving you another excuse...... The question is........ Is either of these situations actually ok? Did you actually believe what came of the Benghazi investigation? It was just a video right? The two party system allows both sides to blame the other, but never look inward. Our founders warned us of the two party system for this exact reason.

  11. The video was never a part of the reports for more than 24 - 36 hours. A certain red side decided to use the initial reporting as a red herring to point towards a cover up. Let's at least be honest with each other and not fall for the "two party system" of rhetoric.

Sept. 13, 2012: Libyan Ambassador Apologizes for ‘Terrorist Attack’

Sept. 14, 2012: Speaking at Andrews Air Force Base
On the same day that White House Press Secretary Carney denied reports that the assault on the U.S. facilities in Benghazi was a preplanned attack, Clinton spoke at Andrews Air Force Base to accept remains of those killed. She did not mention the video nor did she call the assault a terrorist attack, although she quoted the president of the Palestinian Authority who called it an “an act of ugly terror.”

Sept. 18, 2012: Planned for Months?

Sept. 21, 2012: Clinton Calls It a ‘Terrorist Attack’

    over a month later.....
Oct. 15, 2012: Clinton Blames ‘Fog of War’
Oct. 15: Clinton, in an interview on CNN, blames the “fog of war” when asked why the administration initially claimed the attack began with the anti-Muslim video, even though the State Department never reached that conclusion. “In the wake of an attack like this in the fog of war, there’s always going to be confusion, and I think it is absolutely fair to say that everyone had the same intelligence,” Clinton says. “Everyone who spoke tried to give the information they had. As time has gone on, the information has changed, we’ve gotten more detail, but that’s not surprising. That always happens.”

This is after proof came out that Chris Stevens had been asking for additional security for months, for these exact reasons. After proof came out that hundreds of militant forces stormed the compound. But yea, no way they could of thought anything but a video cause a spontaneous uprising..... I didn't actually think people believed this......

  14. Will Cohen sing?

From the liberal rag aka The New Yorker.

Is Michael Cohen Turning on Donald Trump?

When asked if he was still loyal to the President, Cohen replied, “To be crystal clear, my wife, my daughter and my son, and this country have my first loyalty.” He also gave other signs that he was no longer interested in publicly proclaiming his loyalty to the President, saying that Trump was wrong to call the ongoing Mueller investigation a “witch hunt” and to disparage the F.B.I. for investigating Cohen.

  15. Cohens gonna sing like a songbird.

Also tRump cant pardon the State Charges, and they can also tell Cohen if he accepts a pardon, all bets are off, and they will persue the state charges, to the MAX.
Also a Pardon makes Cohen give up his use of the 5th.

He HAS to testify. Pardon, or not.

  17. You're right, as long as they have nothing they'll keep looking. Can you imagine the backlash when they find Trump didn't collude with Russia? That's why they must find something, anything to charge him with. Then you can say I told you so, he broke a campaign regulation prohibiting the buying off of prostitutes. Thank God we caught him.

  18. Lol, so now they are on money laundering, what will they come up with next week?
