Is this plant ready to harvest..?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by hyndmanstrider7, Apr 14, 2011.

  1. This is my first plant. I started it on February 1st so it is day 74 of flowering. Today I have begun to see amber in some of the trichome heads through my 420 scope. I have been flushing for 3 weeks now. Could I get some feedback on whether I should harvest or wait longer..?

  2. If you been flushing for 3 weeks chop that shit

  3. Can you turn of your lights and take some pictures I can't really see the bud from the yellow light.

They look ready though maybe a day or two depending on the tris

  5. Chop her up

  6. Flushing for 3 weeks? Or you flushed 3 weeks ago?

Unless you like a deep "couchlock" body stone, harvest now.

  7. Toasty-I flushed it for 3 weeks. I was going to chop it down a week ago but changed my mind and let it go another week. I started to see amber in the trichomes, the pistils were all red and receding, and the fan leaves were yellowing so I put a picture on here to get some advice.

I really appreciate the feedback from everyone. I just chopped it down and I'm pretty happy with what I got.

  8. Here are a few shots of the bud while its drying..

  13. Niceee... up to u bro . More amber the trichs the more potent the stone. Have u tried the 48 hr blackout yet? Think you should def do that and post some before and after I think your girls will beast for sure .

  14. Damn I have a plant just like your v shaped one . Crazy to see it so big . You been satisfied with the sativas so far? I just started some bubba kush and some banana x white widow. Cant wait to see the Indicas . Growing sativas takes hella patience

Stonermedic-I've been told that the V shaped one is Lavender Kush. Which strain is the plant in the picture?

PS-Random Question-Does the word "Kush" refer to either Sativa or Indica or is it just a generic term for great bud..?

  16. Umm kushes are generally Indica dominant super sticky/fruity buds . But I'm not sure as to what technically makes a plant a kush or not . Where did u get ur seeds from ?all of mine were from some decent mids I got awhile back . Cool concept but I am def a believer in genetics now . My bubba looks like a monster and they are just seedlings

  17. No authentic genetics on this one. I went to a festival and bought a great bag of nuggets that a hippie claimed was Lavender Kush. There were a few beans in the bag and I was able to get a female out of it. I went under a 400 watt light and used the technaflora starter kit nutes and some scotts top soil mixed with sand and perlite.

Recently I bought real genetics from Nirvana. I started with Northern lights which I have about half way through flowering. Then I got some white widow which is in week 2 of flowering. I agree with you Stonermedic, there is a big difference when you get the real deal genetics.

  18. Beautiful post

  19. Id say chop her down in a couple of days. That guide is really helpful that samson posted. Its ready but a couple days will do it good. No linger than 4-5 though. Beautiful grow though. What was your final yeild on the first one?

  20. What's the update bro ?
