well i'm a newbie and i can't really tell if this plant it's begun to flower or not. should have switched to flowering fertilizer already? attaching some pics of different stems. thankyouuu
well, it's a she. i'd say throw it into flower. you don't want to wait too long. it'll do some stretching in early flower, and could get too big for your grow space....
yup... those are pistils shooting out for sure. give it a week and it will have some nice bud formations happening for sure. Like growbot said, its going to stretch. will get 2-3x taller in flowering.
no but i did put them in complete darkness for 48 hours as an attempt to make them flower. they are getting late and some people recommended to do that thank you, i hope! no probs about the size, i keep them outdoors thank you all for your answers
all i can say if you're using chemical fertilizer is go with 1/4 strength there's next to no point in hi-dosing that stuff.. What neuts you got?
so you started them into flowering, then threw them back into a veg light cycle? Not the best for the plant, if you were so curious you should have flowered a clone or something. Now that plant isn't sure where it's at in life, hopefully you don't herm it by flipping back and forth. Certainly not growing for a little while.
This chart is a guide for 8 week flower maturing plants. Once you start your flowering hours the marijuana plant will change from vegetative to flowering within 3 to 4 days. Most modern hybrid plants take seven to nine weeks to ripen once flowering is initiated. Week 1: Growth slows in the plant. Week 2: Flowers will start to appear at the nodes. Week 3: The plant will continue to grow vegetatively as the plant will grow between 20-50% larger then when flowering first started. Week 4: The plant will end all vegetative growth and focus energy on flower growth. The smell of the plant will change as it starts to produce trichomes. Week 5: Flower growth comes quickly as the flowers become thicker and appear in new places. The odor again increases as more trichomes are produced. Week 6: Flower growth continues for eight week maturing plants and flower growth slows and stops in seven week maturing plants. Swelling calyx's can be more noticable. The plants odor intensifies in the seven week maturing plants. Week 7: At the end of this week, the seven week maturing plants will have very swollen calyx's as they fill with THC. The trichomes stand up and the caps swell with new resin. It is at this point the plant is ready for harvesting. In the eight week plants the flower growth stops as they start to mature. Week 8: In the eight week varieties the flowers are fully ripened by the end of week. The peak harvesting period is in the last 72 hours. Once the trichomes stand up and have plump caps its has reached the peak and anything after will only deteriorate the potency of the flower. In some varieties of 8 week flowering plants it may take an extra week to reach the peak harvesting period. It is always wise to monitor the trichomes resination with a hand held microscope or lens once you reach the end of week 6.

In about 5-10 days your plants will start to look like this.... once the flowering starts it goes pretty fast
gotcha. as long as they're close enough, they'll take to the 48 hr flower flip ok. Plants don't have a watch, 12/12 is just a guideline, different strains produce flower hormone at different rates and some pop earlier than others
