Is this normal?

So when i smoke i gag sometimes. I smoke cigs and i gag sometimes when i smoke those to. I personally think because when i was younger me and my friend made some thing called a "Works bomb" And i was stoned and it wouldnt blow up. And if you dont know what it is you put the works toilet bowl cleaner and tinfoil and roll it into balls and put it into a bottle put the cap on and it explodes. Anyways i thought the cap wasnt on tight enough so i tried to tighten it with my teeth. ( Bad Mistake ). I accidentally screwed it the wrong way and it blew up in my mouth and i got foil stuck in my throat and i couldnt drink or eat for a day. Even now adays i still cough up tiny pieces of foil. But the reason im askin if its normal is because my friend gags sometimes when he smokes also. Thanks p&p

 

Ive been to the doctors multiple times about it and they said it wont hurt and ill cough it all up eventually. I dont see how its safe though cuz foil is sharp so it could cut my lungs
