Is this normal??? <---- Need Advice

  1. Ok GC, I just went in to my grow tent to give my girls a little tender love and care. While I was in their I noticed the hairs on one of them turning orange! It's only a couple of hairs on each bud, and only doing it on half the plant. My girl is only 26 days into flower! Is this normal? Will this give me an idea of when I can harvest?

orange pistils can happen naturally as they age, or orange pistils can be a sign of pollination.

that being said, you can get a good gauge of when to harvest by the color of the pistils, but the more accurate way would be to check out the resin glands with a magnifying glass. they start out clear then go to cloudy or whitish, then finish off as amber if youre into the amber thing. some people love too many amber trichs....

    good luck

  3. Thank You!

  4. The pistols turn orange then swell into (fals) seed pods. which is the meaty part of a bud.....other bud sites will appear above the orange swollen fals seed pod effectivly swelling the bud further. you will also notice that the swollen pod will contiue to produce trichnomes (the dusty stuff) that my friend is the end product. get your self a pocket microscope from radio shack look for the trichnome color of your likeing (there are very good charts stikied here). an chop n cure.
