Is this normal looking? 3rd week into flower

  1. Hey all,

amateur grower here, an enjoyable hobby just for myself. I’ve only done a few harvests, this is the first time growing in coco perlite mix, so far it’s been a pleasant experience and healthy plants.

I have 3 plants currently flowering together in a indoor tent. All 3 are different strains and the one currently in question I thought was Sour Lemon. Starting to get these deep purpleish dark spots, almost black under the base of leaves and buds where the pistils and Trichomes are developing. The other two plants which are in physical contact with this one don’t have this happening.

Aside from these darker colors all three plants are happy and healthy. Nothing has changed in feed cycle or environment, temp sits at 21c and humidity at 52% with a single small clip fan blowing across bottom of base stems.

is this plant alright? I’ve seen purple plants but they aren’t looking like this at least from what I’ve seen. It’s only been looking like this past week or so.

    Any help appreciated! 1B78A979-ECD9-471C-AD68-8C609E7A1BAB.jpeg

  2. Looks Good, the red in many instances has been bred into the plant, see it as stalled sap

  3. they look fine although if it is week 3 of flower that means the stretch is over and that trellis net is not doing much to help its actually preventing the lower stuff from getting light but thats just me not understanding the need for a trellis with small plants What purpose is it rally serving those buds can stand alone easily and can be adjusted so everything gets light BUT to answer that purple is normal dont sweat it

  4. Thanks for the replies, good to know all is well!

@sosogrow I was using the trellis more to guide the branches and help spread out a few for better coverage, its still directing some of them from their natural positions. Had a few that were stretching quite a bit faster than the rest of the plant when installed. Not needed for the weight of the buds for sure on these and at this point figured was less harm leaving than trying to pop all the branches back through
