Is this normal growth?

  1. The picture is of a Blueberry (80% Indica)

It looks to me that the bud is so dense that is is growing what looks like little Tops.

This plant was topped prior to flowering and has only 8 branches/tops from the main stem.

Of those 8 tops this is the only one that has this kind of growth on it and it seems to be a Darker Green and almost shiny when compared to the rest of the plant.

Just wondering if anything was wrong with her or if this is common? Will the other buds do this when they get bigger?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Dark green is sometimes a nitrogen overdose. The tips of your leaves seem to be exibiting that as well.

It does not look like much of a problem, your bud seems to be coming in and it sure looks like its not having a problem building resin. I would not try to do any radical fixes for this one. Just try not to give it to much more nitrogen as far as feeding goes.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this plant. very interesting matter of fact. I think it just might be a characteristic of the strain showing in this plant. I have seen this type of flowering before in photos around the web. As to if the other plants will show this characteristic also...I don't know...you will just have to watch and see. Look forward to seeing updates about this plant.
    Nice grow kingbudman.

PHOTO: This is what I was talking about when I said I had seen such characteristics in photos online.

I just remembered a photo in the book Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes that shows a plant similar to the one in the photo above. Under the photo in the book on Page 245 it states, "Heat Stress makes calyxes stretch up and grow beyond a compact bud."

  4. nitrogen overdose is prob right for the color, they are in their 4th week of flowering.

In the first week of flowering I put them onto the bloom juice, and since they are hydro and my bloom juice is only a half shot of nitrogen I had yellowing of leaves. So for week 2 I added a double shot of Nitrogen to the bloom juice and got rid of the yellowing.

Now I am back to using the regular bloom juice mix so hopefully the color will get better, just seems odd that only 1 top looks like this

And for the new growth it is prob just fine, I know they are not bananas, just never grew a strain that did this, but then again I never used a HPS or C02 before, she is prob just too big for her britches.

    Thanks
