Is this mold on my bud?

    Stored it for a bit more than a month cuz i didnt had the possibility to enjoy it all right away. Now im unsure if my weed got some mold because i dont know how it looks like. i hope you guys can help me.

    First pic is a bit moldy. Second is close, but might be smokable.

    I'm not sure how the above posters can tell from this pic.
    To me it doesn't look like mold.
    Can you take some better pics possibly in some outdoor lighting?

    Zoom in on the first pic and you can see that those white strands look way to long and thick to be trics at least in my opinion... I could be wrong OP does need to look at it under a loupe and see if they have little heads on them or not...

    Yeah it could be...to me it looks like trichome stalks smashed down. He needs a loupe to look up close.

    Yeah I was thinking that was a possibility too that's why he just needs to look we can't really tell over the computer

    The most common form I have dealt with is white powdery mildew and that bud you have there is fine. Best I can tell those are just matted trichomes. Do not confuse those tiny whitish hairs that grown up along the bud stems and mini branches of the buds for mold like many do. They are non glandular trichomes and totally normal on good healthy bud. People with mistake those for mold on first inspection because they are whiter than trichomes and have a more hair like appearance. Having just dealt with a mold issue on some of my bud, I can tell you that is not mold. Mold/white powdery mildew will show up usually as white dusty looking foreign substance. The thing is it is different than what trichomes look like. The color is distinct and it's white like snow usually and you can see how it grows over the coating or mixes in with the layer of trichomes. Without seeing the bud up close though, under a lighted magnifier type loop or glass we cannot tell 100 percent but I would vote no mold..

    There are other types of mold besides powdery mildew o_O but as everyone has said it's best to look at it yourself close up anyhow

    Probably. I wrapped my weed pretty thightly in the bag i got when i bought it, plus twice in aluminium foil to avoid recognition of the scent. Well then i stored it in an dry and dark place. The buds dont smell strong anymore and they are a bit dryed out and hard, but aslong theres no mold i think its smokable.
    I looked trough a loupe and in my opioan i cant see somethin suspicious, but as i said i dont really know how it exactly looks like.

    I post more pics maybe you guys can see it then a bit better

    Maybe they look a bit moldy bebause of the light, but i cant make better photos.
