Is this mold? Blackening on bud sites

    Is this mold? The blackening seems to develop at multiple bud sites along the same stem.

    Please give me some insight, thank you.

    Looks like it's part of the leaf itself. Maybe strain specific. Does not appear fuzzy or dusty looking to me so that generally rules out mould.

    Are you sure they are not mites of some kind? Take a really close look.

    I’ve been cutting it off, maybe I could leave it and see if it dies. I assumed it was bad but maybe it’s harmless

    Doesn’t appear to be mites. It looks like a black stain of some kind

    Have night time temperatures been cold? I see a little of it on a stem as well
