We don't even need a magnifier we just need something other than a flip phone... my iPhone 5s takes pics just fine I prefer to take it a bit from a distance and then just crop it otherwise my flash can be to iffy if I need to use it it's also easier to focus from further back and then just crop. When you point most newer phones these days at a subject you can touch the screen on the object you want to focus on. Not sure if you're doing that or not? Not trying to give you a hard time man - sorry; the pictures are just fuzzy. J
