600 might be a little to hot for that area, but if you have good venting it should be alright. so 400w for sure, and if you really want that extra light, go for 600. I have a 600w in a 2.5 by 1.5 by 8 foot tall area ontop of 3 baby clones. they are growing wonderfully.
yea im thinkin bout the 600w because i can vent it right out and i have an a/c unit in my room so i can run it while im running the light
