I have been looking at led lights and I wondering if 2 of these lights will be enough for 3x3 grow space. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07SKSR591/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A1BYGS9ETP2BQ0&psc=1
That style of lights is obsolete. Definitely can find something in the same price range that is modern and much better.
I have been looking at the lights suggested and I have found a light that is more in my price range but would like someone here to take a look and see what you think and let me know.
Spider Farmer SF2000 LED Grow Light with Samsung LM301B Diodes & Dimmable Lighting Full Spectrum Grow Light for Indoor Plants Veg Bloom Growing Lamps for 3x3/3x4/2x4 Grow Tent 2.7 umol/J https://a.co/d/2K0v5NS
With any of the lights that have been selected what can I expect as far as plant growth and yield compared to a 600w hps? In both my tents I am running a 600W HPS. I'm not having any temp issues because the room is heated and cooled.
40.3w sq/ft is minimum needed of LED to equal HID. When I first bought a Gavita 1700e it was rated as replacing a 1000w Single Ended HID in a 4 x 4 area. It is 645w. 645 divided by 16 is 40.3w. 4 x 4 is 16 sq/ft 1700e is 1700umol You have 9 sq/ft. 40.3 x 9 = 362.7w Sq/ft So in that case in a 3 x 3, using LED, you would need roughly 360w, with the very best Samsung Diodes. Any other diode, and all bets are off. I myself would buy the Mammoth 430w LED. It also has Far Red Diodes that go to 730nm. This light will totally blast a 3 x 3 area. At full power this would be 47.7w Sq/ft. Dont be fooled into manufacturers claiming a 250w LED will replace a 600w HID. Allegedly, LED is supposed to be about 1/3 - more efficient than HID. If you cant step up to a GOOD 360w-430w LED, stick with the 600w HPS, and use Hortilux HPS bulbs. 4 bar, 430w, 3' x 3', Mammoth Lighting Fold Series Led Grow Light 378 Samsung LM301B diodes per bar $599 on sale.
Average cost for LED grow light that uses quality LEDs is a dollar per watt Actual wattage of the light you posted uses almost ten times less watts then advertised. I wouldn't buy it with your money. Misleading people into thinking that's a 2000 Watt light should be criminal he fans on top are a dead give away You need about 35 watts per square foot of grow space. But CrazyGardener is doing it on 29 watts per square ft of grow space. KK 3x3square ft = 9 sq ft x 35 watts = 315 actual watts which should cost about 315 bucks I buy My lighting components from HLG and assemble my lights myself. The Samsung Is setting the standard for LED grow light chips .. Now days The quality grow lights do not require a fan to cool the boards. Called passive cooling . I like using the heat sinks . If I was you i would buy two of the HLG 2V 288 r spec boards Quantum Boards from HLG and the power supplier and two aluminum heat sinks you have to do the wiring ,, its not that hard, there allot members that can help advise on wiring them up And HLG has free videos on how to wire up the Power supplier to the HLG Quantum Boards Some growers in here swear by the Taiwanese made King Brite grow lights If the grow light works great,,,,,,,,,,,,,, But be wise average cost is close to a buck per watt for quality grow lights. Good luck
If there's one thing in a grow You don't want to cheap out on, it's the light. Save up if You need to, but get a quality light. Me personally, I'd stick with the HPS if You aren't having heat issues.
