Is this leave sagging cause of root bound?

  1. I can't tell if this is because the plant is root bound (which I think it is, because they're roughly 12 days old from coming out of soil, 19 from being put into paper towels)

Here's a pic. I thought it might be cause of overwatering so I'll give it some time, but whats the easiest way to tell if its root bound?

  2. I would transplant it soon anyway. It doesn't take very long for the main root to get to the bottom in beer cups.

  3. Nope, deffinately not from root bound. Ive got plants that are over a month old, that Im sexing, in those same kind of cups and theyre still growing fine. You watered it either too much, or too soon after you watered it last time. You can keep that in there for at least a couple more weeks.

  4. hi all. I'm with hootskers on this one. let it go longer. transplanting at the proper time allows your plant to grow multiple root systems, beneficial in taking in nutrients and water efficiently. peace

  5. Ah, they're not improving, how long does it take for them to recover from overwatering?

  6. It can take up to a few days sometimes.

  7. it's been 2 and the ones that were originally not sagging are now beginning to sag, and the ones that WERE sagging to begin with aren't getting better...

I poked my finger in it and the soils still wet, so I guess I'll wait it out

  8. If anyone cares I did a little experiment to see if it would help.

The overwatered soil I transplanted into a larger pot with bone dry soil. I'm thinking the new soil should absorb some of the moisture, plus it'll prevent it being root bound.

I'll have pics up in the log after like a day to see if its any improvement.

Might be a good step to the fast cure to over watering

  9. If the soils still wet it wont get any better. The soil needs to dry out for it to recover. What kind of soil are you using?? Thats probably the answer to your problem.

  10. i dont think its the soil

    pro soil no nutes

    edit:

lol i can't believe i gave the wrong link to the log:S

  11. Its not about the nutes, its about how dense the soil is. If you have dense soil it will take much longer to dry out and drown the plants. Weed needs really light, airy, soil to grow indoors so the roots can breath and the soil doesnt get too wet. Does your soil have any peat moss or spahgnum moss in it?
