Hi, I have a 3 week old bag seed that is growing vigorously i have it on a twenty for hour light cycle. This is what my question is about. I set it out side right before sunrise then after sun set i bring it in and put it under 3 cfls until the next sun rise and reapeat the process. will somebody tell me which is better. The only reason i cant put it ouside every day is because i live in denver and its been nice lately but this weather is crazy so who knows how it will be the next day. I greatly appreciate anybodies help thanx l
I would not think it would be a problem, but then again I never move my plants around ever... Just watch out for that sun rise temperature that are going on right now. I am just a little bit north of you (say 200miles or so), and the morning temperatures still dips below 45. brrrrrr! If you are confident your plants will be safe, and you don't forget them they should be fine. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doing this also increases your chances of getting a bug infestation.. so maybe you might want to re-think the outside.
As for a light comparison the sun light in my opinion is the absolute best light available!! But i still think it is way too early to be setting your plant outside man. I'm not sure how warm it is in Denver in the mornings right now but where I'm at it is still super cold in the mornings and still too cold during the day! But I also live in Maine so that is expected, we are actually getting snow as I speak! I used to live in Littleton and know that you are right about the crazy Colorado weather. It could snow one day and be 90 degrees the next, so at this point in the year I would not recomend putting your plant outside for at least another 2 to 3 weeks! If you start getting below 60 degrees for any length of time and then bring it in to a 70-80 degree enviroment i would think that it would start to retard the growth due to stressing it out. Just keep it under the CFL's for a while until it gets a little more trust worthy outside. Just my opinion though! Peace and GL!
