I bought a rig off of eBay and it came with this nail, but he didn't specify what kind of nail it was. My cousin says it's quartz but after seeing pictures of nails I couldn't agree. Could anyone help me identify it?
100% glass. Glass is the go to cheap nail that typically comes with rigs. You can get a quartz nail off ebay for less then $10. If you order that now you will have it by the time that glass nail starts cracking(if you are a heavy dabber). Personally I would say get a HE Ti nail. Domeless with carb cap FTW. Infinity nail is the best nail on the market right now. It can fit any joint size male or female(not sure about 10mm though) and you can get replacement heads(very important with Ti).
lol if you know how to use a glass nail it will last just fine, I have one that I've easily dabbed at least a gram off of no issues... sounds like user error to me only way to tell would be to heat it up red and then dunk it in water, if it explodes, its glass
If it explodes it's glass. Haha that made me laugh! Yeah that's true that is the only way to tell, but based on it's design and overall look, it's safe to say it's glass. I'd be surprised it it's quartz. Heating it is very important with glass and also with quarts just not as much. Heat it slowly and with a small flame and slowly turn it up. You don't want to blast it with the hottest part of the flame right away or it will crack. Should last you a while if heated correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app
