Hello, my flowers got a little out of control, when I was on holiday. They are starting to flower now. Probably that is also the cause of the rapid growth over short period of time. What should I do? Most of the tops are touching either roof or wall.
I would chop them back, chop them like a Bush, you could remove 70% of the height, there very healthy and your out of space you don't have much choice, aless you can grow them out side, if each plant has a few leaves, it will recover, the plant growth will be shunted for a week.
Could you show me on the picture where to cut them exactly? And isnt it too late to chop them if they are already starting flower?
yet to flower yet so take some clones and chop them back is what I'd do you could try a net but you need a lot more air running thru their good luck
On the grow forums I have seen this endless times and most the time the plants over grow the space and everything goes wrong, your right it's not advised to cut back plants in flower, but all I can do is look at your plants and tell you what I would do and without question I would chop all the plants down about 50% so the canopy is level and full of healthy shoots, they will continue to grow and the canopy will fill up with buds, you will gain control over your plants, you want to avoid the bulbs touching the walls, this can cause bud rot and the more canopy in the room the higher the humidty inturn increases the chance of bud rot, you will need to stake the plants in late flower to support the colas so you need room to move the plants around.
All valid options, I WOULD start with the least stressful options & move up the ladder as needed? 1 defoliate, 2 take clones, 3 take a step back & give a thought to step 4 Either tie id down/back or 5 cut. No real bad options, whether the plant lives or dies you learned something, better if it lives tho.
