    i never decarbed right and wasted alot of weed.

    According to data I've seen, 8.4 minutes is the correct time for that temp.
    Although 240 F for 40 min is the most popular decarb, there exist an infinite number of correct time/temp decarb combos.
    You got close to one of them.

    In the future consider the lower temp decarb, because time and temp errors are more easily controlled.
    Go 1 min too long at 140 C, and that's about a 12% error.
    Go 1 min too long at 240 F, and that's a 0.4% error.
    Same principle applies to temp errors, which are unavoidable.
