  2. Watering them won't rot your buds and a bit of brown in the core is normal enough.

You didn't say inside or out. If outside and your not spraying for caterpillars then it is a different story.

  3. It is a outside plant and no I have not been spraying for caterpillars, there are some on the plant that i can see.

  4. And Welcome to the City. :)
    Damn I never remember.

  5. Thank you :) and so does it look like mold? I know the white spider web looking like stuff is mold and when i looked up brown spots on buds, the main thing that came up is bud rot but I'm not sure if it is that or not.

  6. Ahhhh then we know what is up. Here is the fix and you need to start yesterday and apply every week until harvest.

    Bacillus Thuringiensis
Is a bacteria that once eaten by a caterpillar gives it terminal indigestion. Harmless to most other life forms and very short lived in the environment. Hours under the sun.
Your local garden center will carry one of the 3 major brands of the stuff. Ask for it by name. Accept no substitutes.

Spray from the first signs of flower right up to harvest. Uncontrolled the caterpillars will ruin your crop.

  7. Okay awesome thank you! But the plant looks ready to harvest, majority of trichomes are milky, does this mean the plant is ruined or can I still harvest it and cut away the brown areas during trimming?

  8. Caterpillars eat through the stem and that browned bit is likely sun dried and loose and will pop free if you pull on it. Look for the caterpillar in the hole the removed bud came out of. Dig in and find the little bastard and crush the life out of it.

Caterpillars are eating machines and every dot of crap they leave will form a spot of mold as well. My first modem era outside grow I didn't know and they infested all but part of one plant. 12 hours after trimming and hanging it all up they started to hang down from their silk.

Just a few at first then dozens and more dozens. By the next morning I couldn't sweep them away fast enough. As the bud got ever drier the worse it got. All ruined and full of caterpillar shit and mold. I tossed about 5 pounds of what should have been........

  9. Okay so what do you think would be the best thing to do from here? I'm not sure what I could do, is the plant done for?

  10. Don't mean to hijack as Brass is the man and everything he said is dead on, but I'm not sure that plant is ready to harvest. Could we get a pic of the full plant or have you been checking the trichomes with a scope? Most outdoor harvests are done near the end of October. No doubt that is rot because yours truly has had his share LOL. It's miserable trimming and playing the game of "Find the NOT rot," but I have done it more than I care to say. Taking the time to do proper pest control solved that problem. Only thing you can really do now is remove any rot you see and treat with the chemicals recommended.
    Good luck!!

  11. Hi Brass , Do you know if this goes bad after 1 year if open, or unopen? Thanks

  12. Most all the internet sites agree 2 to 3 years in the original container. Personally I buy a new bottle for the Summer run every year figuring it is cheap insurance against the caterpillars. It gets used up in the off season grows if I'm doing what I should and staying on my IPM game. I'll use up the last of the prior years remains 50% x50% when I open the fresh bottle.
