Is this bong worth $49.99?

It's 14 inches dude just wait lol 14 inches is weak.If it's a water pipe it's kind of pointless to get mini ones.If it's small it's boring and not really any different than a bowl that you can get for a lot cheaper.You'll be so much happier with a big ass 21" water bong with ice notches and all that.

 

just because it has a rubber joint i'd say pass, and then just save up for a bit. My advice, never cheap out on your first real bong purchase, just use that money to buy more trees and papers until ur ready

 

Get a decent bubbler or something to tide you until you can get some serious glass.

 

I have that exact bong layin around somewhere and I would not get it again.
Its decent but its cheap, the design is cool but they mass produce these things so theres thousands of the same exact design. Its not even glass on glass, it uses a damn martini bowl.

Just spend a little extra. Save a little more cash up. ≥$75 and you're talking

 

Here's my advice:

Save at least $200 before buying a bong. Why so much? So you can get a bong that's thick, quality american glass AND a good case to protect it. You're only going to be in the range of bongs without percs (ie. straight tubes and beakers) but percs aren't anything that you're going to miss. Spend a little more (ie. another $100) and you can buy a nice dowstem and bowl to "pimp" your bong a little.

If you buy a bong that's less than $100, you're gonna have a bad time. It's ALMOST ALWAYS going to be mass-produced glass that is EXTREMELY THIN. I can't put in words how thin these bongs can sometimes be. I saw one at a small local shop that had glass that was nearly paper-thin, and I'm not exaggerating. Also, they may not be annealed properly (especially if the asian manufacturer is rushing to pump more bongs out), which means that the glass will be MUCH more likely to crack.

So here's your choice: Buy a bong for $50 and see it break in less than a month, or save $200 or so and buy a bong that will last you the rest of your life.

P.S "gogopipes" previously had a reputation for scamming customers (ie. taking their money but not sending anything until (if at all) months later. Though (it seems) that they have gotten their act together and now operate as a legit business their products are still known for being terrible quality (thus the low prices). Also, they use misleading pictures. The bong you are looking at is barely taller than a ruler, but it looks like it actually a decent size in the photo.

I disagree with this, what is wrong with small bongs? I have a hisi that is only 12 inches but with the Perc and showerhead downstem and it rips just as good as any talk bong

 

Don't hate on mini tubes. I'd look into ssfg, soul shine family glass. Their travel beakers and travel straights are VERY reasonably priced for what you get, and they're very quality tubes. The customer service is awesome as well. You can also look into Zob, I know they have some 14" straights and beakers for around $125.

 

It really depends how thick the glass is. I try not to buy anything under 7mm thick these days. The reviews look good though, ide say go for it if you have a lot of cash to spend. If you're tight on the moolah, then wait until you can afford something better

Those spirals look like they'd be weak. Grasscity has some nice ones for around $50. You can definitely find amazing deals on smaller bongs though so I'd shop around for a good week an even email the people on different sites seeing if they have any discount codes.

I like that one honestly. The carb hole sucks but if they give you a bung then it's all good.

 

If you're only trying to drop $50, just get a nice glass in glass American blown (I was actually gonna recommend ssfg, someone beat me to it though) straight shooter with a diffused downstem.

I mean for $75-100 you could get a nice piece with percs, but for anything below that you're compromising quality for percs (and keep in mind the percs are gonna be lower quality too)

 

I wouldn't recommend either of the 2 you posted or any piece with a carb home instead of a slide.

Yeah they will work but it's really not the best bang for your buck in terms of quality and functionality.

First of all go to your local head shop, because you can't really trust people over the internet they could take your money and give you the finger. And even if they do send it, it would take at least a couple months to receive it.
