hey guys! so i recently moved to the netherlands and coudlnt find isopropyl alcohol for the life of me! anyways i finally found a place that sells it. they sell three types of high percent alcohol: -99% isopropyl (what is the other 1%?) -96% ethanol - food grade (expensive as hell. 80 euros for a liter...) -96% ethanol - non drinkable (the chemist explained to me its non drinkable because they added chemicals that you shouldn't drink). now, i bought the ethanol food grade and 99% isopropyl. ill be using the ethanol for winterization when i get my butane blasting setup and vacuum, but for now im looking to make a quick wash with the 99% isopropyl. now i asked the man many times if the 1% is water, and he said he has no clue. but kept telling me not to drink it, and i explained to him i only want to use it as solvent and he kept saying dont drink it so i dont think he knows what im talking about. didnt want to get too into it as making hash is illegal. usually back in the states, cvs' 99% iso says the other 1% is water. this one doesnt, it just says 99% iso and the rest is a mystery... and damn i ramble so much for a simple fucking question LOL..i wrote an essay n shit. anyways heres the picture of the bottle if that helps you in any way. basically my question is: would YOU make a wash with it? i have some strawberry haze all frozen and ready in the freezer...just waiting for your guys' opinion! and thanks for reading *if this helps, its a legit place with a legit chemist working there. he told me they get the containers for alcohol only labeling the content percentage of alc, not mentioning anything else* *pic will come soon says im not allowed to use the image extentsion but heres the picture http://imgur.com/rMd7ouc
I'd use it. That other 1% is almost certainly water. Sent from somewhere over there. No, not there...over THERE.
