  1. hello all
    tell me what you think

after my transplant into an all organic soil called whiteny farms life link i waited until my next watering to give my plants some additions which was on Dec 3:

    1tbsp Liquid Karma
    1tbsp Earth worm castings
    1 tbp seabird guano (1-10-0)

maybe around the 10th or 11th i noticed the leaves be ligtening in color. thinkin the N was depleting i included N with my next watering

my next watering was on Dec 15
    1tbsp molasses
    1tbsp earthworm castings
    1tbsp liquid karma
    1tbsp bat guano (10-2-1)

unfortunately there have been no changes. as u can see im an organic grower but im not sure what is wrong with my plant. thanks for any and all responses.
i do have pictures im just not sure how to upload them onto this thread.

  2. PIctures....

Why are you going thru this ritual of bat quano/seabird guano ect ect ect??? all these things should be in the soil already or is everything your using in liquid form???

Would like to see pictures becuase your giving alot of stuff there every watering and could be more burn than an N deficiency.

to upload pictures, click the reply button at the bottom then below the area where you type your test as a button for "manage Attachments" click that and it will ask you to browse for the pics and upload them. they will show up in your message.

  3. PS 12 days between watering is also unheard of.. should be every other day or every 3 days.

  4. ok here are the pics

    but first

    1. i water every 10 -12 days because i have a plant in a 5 gallon pot
    2. no my ferts are not liquid but powder
    3. i gave the bat guano only after the yellowing appeared not before although the seabird guano was given while the plants were healthy
    4. now that i think about it i should not have given my plant any seabird guano because it was only day 17 in veg and i think the seabird guano should be used in bloom
    5. this is my first grow so live and learn

  5. what kinda lights are u using?

  6. Your Guano's and worm casings should be added in your soil mix not watered with dude.

  7. i use a 400 watt hp. and like i said i grow organically so i make a tea with with the ewc LK and molasses. i appreciate the comments but still im hoping someone can help me diagnosis this problem. thanks

  8. Believe they already did... its an N deficiency!

  9. ps giving it TEA from bat guano isnt going to give you the 10-2-1 your hoping for.

And who says putting the guano in the soil and the casings isnt "Organic"?

  10. oh sorry i didnt see anything stating it was a nitrogen d. and of course putting the ferts in without making a tea is still organic growing. but many people have success with organic grows using bat guano or seabird guano by bubbling a tea.

anyway i just watered today. should i just sprinkle 1 tbsp of bat guano (10-2-1) as topsoil? or how now should i administer the bat guano?

    thanks for all the help

  11. bat quano is strong stuff and can burn the plant so if you sprinkle in the soil now make sure its a little.

Also thats a slow way to fix your problem.. you need something fast acting like watering with 1/2 tablespoon of Urea (which is organic) per gallon of water.

The bat quano had to be mixed in the soil from the beginning when you transplanted the seedling into the larger pot. same with the worm casings.

thanks for all your comments btw
the soil i used is called whitney farms life link. here are the ingredients

Aged and processed softwood bark and sawdust, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, pumice, composted animal manuers, bat guano, worm castings, dried poultry waste, blood meal, feather meal, bone meal, sulfate of potash, kelp meal, dolmite lime may be added as a ph adjuster.

it was about day 25 that my plant started showing signs of N def.

what do you think of the soil?
    thanks
