* Strain: Auto Somango - day 47 * Medium: 70% soil, 30% perlite - 1.5gallon * Light: LED 180w (90w actual draw) * Nutrient: Biobizz line (maybe a clue as to the Mg deficiency, epsom salt very hard to come by where i live..) * Ph: controlled with a pen, but as it is organic as long as feed is between 6 and 7 everything is good (as per the soil makers instructions) As you can see there is yellowing of the leaves, peppered all over, **even on the top of the plant**. The tips of the **leaves are brown and curling upward**. My tap water sits for 48h, i mix the nutes and check ph. Tap water is at 90 ppm and water analisys says the water has 24 mg/l of Magnesium. This and the trace amounts of magnesium on biobizz alg-a-mic (which i spray foliar every day) were my defence against any possible Mg deficiency but if you guys confirm i'll have to order some Epsom salt from abroad :| Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Agree with farmerjane above. I know nothing about BioBizz nutes or anything, but that's the standard pattern for cal/mag deficiencies. Maybe a little nute burn going on there too. Foliar spraying, in my mind, is about useless at this point. It helps when the plants are small and seedlings, but once they develop a good root system, you're better off feeding them through the roots and just letting the leaves do their thing. Why do you have to use Epsom Salts? Throw in some Magical and be done with it. LOL TWW
First, thanks for your reply. It is most interesting (or maybe not at all, maybe its just a reflection of this being my first organic, first micro grow, first led and auto grow etc lol Its interesting you mention nute burn i wondered also but..Biobizz are organic nutrients. They are known (as in I've research a whole lot and there seems to be consensus) as being a) very difficult to give nute burn and b) notorious for mg deficiencies. So I wonder if maybe something is wrong with pH, since I've been conservative with dosages. As for the mg deficiency I was intending to use Epsom salts to correct them, since calmag isn't organic I it might hurt the herd (?).. Thing is, since posting this they seem to be responding to my 5 foliar spraying a day of alg-a-mic (algae I guess) and is turning greener? Will check later an update
Glad to hear you are seeing some improvement. TWW is correct about the foliar feeding; not the best way to go at this point. From what I understand it could lead to bud rot which is something none of us want. Your girls look really good, especially for the first time! Those autos can be tricky. Keep us updated!
good day to all fellow growers I am currently growing autos and I am using the biobizz range that is on the chart ... I have just started adding plant majic magne cal+ I am currently 3 weeks into flower ... should I be mixing every nutrient on the biobizz chart at this point ? or should I just be using topmax, bloom and bioheaven ? I have currently been mixing all of them in one feed for the past 3 weeks. I have added plant majic magne cal+ on its own the past 2 feeds ... here's a pic of 2 of my plants ones looking great the other not so great ... Sent from my SM-G925F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Hey brother, as stated I'm totally a noob with organic but my 2 cents from a lot of research: Yes, use biobizz every watering but be careful and start 1/4 strength or 1/2 and slowly ramp up. As for calmag I would love someone experienced to clear this..I've gone to great lengths not to use it since it is NOT organic and therefore could potentially kill the herd? Alg-a-mic does have some Mg as you can see from the photos leaves are turning green again Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
hey bro thanks for the quote and same I'm on my first grow (AUTOFLOWERS INDOOR GROW !!!) that's my page if you want to check it out I'll put some more updates of the magne cal+ soon so you can see if it's helped with the biobizz range and how things have gone ... peace bro Sent from my SM-G925F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Hi glad improvin. I no nothin about nutes ya using either but i was always taught that a higher range ph ( nearing 6.8-7) locks out yr mag and cal!!! This is proberbly not usefull info to you but just thought id mention it anyway ..Good luck love xxxx
