So I just moved into an apartment I'm renting and I just started my first grow. I found an old cabinet that my parents gave me and I stripped the shelves out and covered the inside with an emergency blanket. The cabinet is about 7 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 20 inches deep. I have about 250 watts of cfl bulbs inside which I think should be perfect for one plant. I also mounted 2 small desk fans in the upper corners to insure good airflow. Also I have a carbon filter on the top that is positioned so that the air from the fans are kind of blowing through the plant and into the filter. I also have 3 Febreez plug ins in the same room as the cabinet. And then to top it off I have the entire cabinet locked. What do you guys think? Is this stealthy enough to not get caught? I'm growing Acapulco Gold which, if I top and LST, should easily fit in that space. As for the electricity bill, I keep all the lights in my apartment off and I really only turn them on at night when I come home. But I try to use the least amount of electricity as possible. If I make it through harvest without being busted, I'll post pics.
who are you worried about getting busted by, your parents? if it's your parents, yes you will get busted with that setup. pix would also help...
Yes it's CFL. And plus I'm trying to use the least amount of electricity I can around the apartment just in case.
