I plan on buying this light, but I'm not sure if this is good. I want to get a HPS and 400w should be good for 3-4 plants. 400-Watt ED18 High Pressure Sodium HID Light Bulb-140987 at The Home Depot Also, what kind of light socket should I use for this? Any suggestions?
That is only the bulb, your also going to need the ballast for that bulb, but yes that bulb will work. It takes a S51 socket, which would come with the ballast.
