Is this a decent grow tent kit?

  1. Hey all, I'm in my learning stage, and there is so much info, that i want to get it right and it made me start looking fo complete kits.

Would someone with more knowledge be able to look at this kit and tell me what they think? I plan on growing 1-2 plants for personal use.

Is it missing anything or crap quality?

    Thanks!

That is a great start, I would recommend you consider more the 2 plants with the engergy you are going to be using and the wasted light on empty space you could do 4-6 and have lots of room for air flow and moving in and around them.

  3.
Cool, thanks for the advice and looking!

WOuld it be overkill or hurt the plants to do just 1-2 with this setup? Reason i ask is i dont have much use for more than 2, and since it's my first go, im thinking it makes sense to focus on 1 or 2 to save some money and get a hang of it.

    Thoughts?

  4. Over kill? I don't think so. You will likely have 2 very strong and thick budded plants. manage the heat and you are going to have a great two plants. I would tell you shoot for 4 plants. Two grow with TLC and the other 2 you can experiment with for future grows. You can LST one and the other try some supercropping or vary the nutrients on the other two. Do something different than the 2 keepers. You will gain invaluable experience in one grow, especially one you can be flexible with.

  5. I'd go for more than two plant too because you can always save your bud in jars for later use meaning you don't have to grow all the time hence electrical bill is smaller ;)

  6. It would minimize exposure to discovery as well. good lines of thought riz.

  7. Sweet thanks for the advice guys, and the having more than 2 plants is more of a quantity issue than anything. Getting caught with 8 plants for instance would be much worse than 2. Plus i'm more of a midnight toker so i don't smoke as much as many of you.

  8. i smoke once or twice after coming home from work, and i still say try 4. its your first grow so you have to understand that your plants probably wont look like the buds you see in high times haha. grow 4 that way when you mess up, and you will everyone does their first time, if you mess up and have low yields having 4 instead of 2 means you get more buds. im not sure where you live but here in maine anything under 5 plants is a minor crime. could have been changed now that medical is in effect here.

  9. Look into your laws in my state getting caught with 5 is basically same as getting caught with one plant. After 5 it's a lot worse on you, with that said I would go for max plants to stay under the heavy punishment. I just noticed above poster is also saying same thing about plant numbers so really look into it for your area. Always start more seed than you need if trade by strikes your first grow you have better chance to rebound if you have more than 2 plants. I have four plants in a 4x4 grow cabinet, I have to tuck them in there to shut door, it's a great feeling. I started six plants, gave away two of my weaker plants.

  10. In colorado my interpretation of it is state legal for recreational use anybody over 21 years of age can legally buy up to one oz from a recreational retail store... As for growing it one 21 years of age or older can legally grow up to six plants (12 per household) but at any given time only 3(or 6 for household) maybe in the flowering stage the other half must be in veg state (how ever it is still federally illegal)

  11. That's great information, I had no idea. All I know is maine law says as a medical card holder we can have six mature plants. Doesn't really say how many plants vegging. The kicker is that you can only have 2.5 oz at a time. Anything more than this you can donate to a dispensary or care giver. In the same breathe it says if you can prove why you needed to have more you can disput any judgement of having to much product at once. Haven't heard of anybody getting popped for this rule yet.

  12. In colorado we have both medical and recreational state legal. As my interpretation goes Mmj you can buy up to 2 oz a day same rules apply to home grow and we can keep anything a plant produces but must be kept in a lockable room (no outdoor grows) of you get your mmj dr to write you a script saying that it is medically necessary for a higher plant count then that's what you can grow... but out and about your only allowed to have 1 oz or 2 for mmj in your possession and no public display of use and holds to same rules as alcohol can get dui and what not
