I don't understand the question. If you're asking can you grow a cutting for a few months, then the answer is Yes. My latest cuttings have been growing for about 8 wks while I'm waiting to finish out the plants I have in flower now.
i think he means just taking a cutting and not letting it root? at least for a few months and id say the answer would be no if thas the question you ment to ask.
