Trying to be creative and compact in making a vaporizor. Is there any type of commercially used glass that is not safe to heat up and breath the vapors of? I'm using an old spice jar as my chamber and a micro torch to heat the herb inside the jar from the outside. Suggestions welcome.

  2. You'll be fine. 99.99% of glass is safe. You're going to have to go to some great lengths to find glass that isn't. Keep on tokin'.

  3. unless your smoking outta fancy glass wear you will be fine. the fancy stuff uses lead inside to make it sparkly. im not sure why it isnt black, dont ask me. all i know is that its called leaded glass for a reason lol.

Broken glass can be pretty bad.

  5. Wow...Thanks for all the responses. Now that I've done some experimentation i think my main problem is finding the right temper and thickness. Made some really pretty designs when it cracked though. Any thoughts as to what household glass i might be able to use that can tolerate the temperatures??
