Is there a way to get EVERYTHING beneficial out of a cannabis plant for tinctures?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by SlinkySlekker, Aug 6, 2019.

  1. Hi. I’m growing plants b/c I make tinctures for my dad to accompany his CBD doses. It helps his dementia greatly.

I’m only in the seedling stage, but I’m wondering when harvest time happens, (after I wash (?), dry and cure the flower), how can I extract all of the beneficial components before ultimately decarboxylating to activate the THC? I want to get out the CBD, terpenes, resin (I don’t know what that is) and whatever else makes this herb magical...

  2. I don't think you can "extract all of the beneficial components" before decarbing.. I could be wrong though but most people who make tincture/edibles on here decarb the weed/hash or whatever they have as it is

  3. Go to Psychedelic Sam's, Another Tincture Thread, and you will find the information you require.

  4. In my opinion......getting "everything" out of it is kind of open ended.....do you REALLY care about ANY AND ALL things positive in cannabis and a way to extract every bit of it....or do you want to be able to provide your father with good enough tinctures to battle his Dementia and/or give him a bit of a "buzz" too?
