I have thought this for a long time the N word is used all the time by the black and white ethnic groups due to hip hop and R&B culture. I personally call my white friends the N word (not in a demeaning manner) but as like an alternative to bro, mate, bud or whatever. Is it really that bad? The word obviously derived from the Spanish & Portuguese word negro meaning "black" which technically is a descriptive word. Obviously I know about the oppression and I don't agree with it, but why in modern society do people really care about that word when 99% of the time you will be live in the same area as many races. (dependent on where you live i guess).
Its all abou how its used.. If some redneck comes up to me like "move it niqqer" then i got a problem with it.. If a white kid is talkin to a friend and i overhear him say "niqqa" then i got no problem with it. Just a couple examples
When you get older, you will get it. It's very complicated. And calling "friends" that with the "a" at the end... Just retarded and ridiculous. The word was created to anger people. It's derogatory. But now people call it to each other. And then get mad if you challenge them about it - kind of like what I am doing now. Watch the movie "Django Unchained", or just research the word, how it was used and how it is used now. It's a fucking joke. No, I'm not mad, bro. Just SMH at the world. Basically the only time i got a problem with it is when someone is using it solely to cause an issue.. If its used in conversation or being friendly with someone i dont give a shit. Really its about the same to me as any word.. Like if someone was callin someone a "fuckin dumby" inna degrading way id expect the person recieving (not up the ass cookie) to be upset about it.. But if its not used inna personal attack sorta way theres no sense in gettin shitty about it, in my eyes

It's bad because the word is demeaning to african Americans. Idc what anyone in here says it shouldn't be used whether or not someone doesn't intend on it being derogatory. The fact that you think it's ok to call your friends the n word is ridiculous and you should stop. What people don't realize if you just ignore it when used as a derogatory comment eventually it will lose meaning. The only reason they use it is to make you react, if some guy calls you it and you look at him smile and say "you have a nice day too sir" or just ignore it and walk away eventually he will give up trying.
You Know Who!!! A coworker who I've never really talked to before and his friend gave me a ride to the package store last night.. he said niqqa after EVERY sentence. I had never heard it used so much! I don't really care unless it's offensive to someone who hears it.
