I just picked up a new bong yesterday, and I'm not sure if I need to buy a down stem for it or not? someone please help me, I wanna get this bong in action asap!
not stemless. a stem would fit into that joint, and then youd stick a slide into the stems jonit. technically you could hit it like that with as much water as you have in it, and it would be sonsidered stemless, but i tell you now its not going to be very effective or as effective as a 'real' stemless bong.
Thanks for the help guys. Yea I've been able to hit it with all that water in it but I'm gonna go out and get a stem for it. The slider I have is 14.4 mm and the opening on the bong is 18.8 mm so Ive had to put a bunch of plastic wrap on part of it to make it seal properly. So are there stems that can adapt the 14.4 slider for an 18.8 opening on the bong?
Word, thats good to hear. Should the stem go almost to the bottom of the bong or just halfway from where the stems comes out?
lol at OP linking to his desktop for pics. It should go as far down as almost touching. mine is like a 1/4 inch to the glass in my beaker and thats how Aqua labbes set it up.... but its really preference, just realize the lower it goes, the less water you need, and the more diffusion it will get. (more time for smoke to be in water....) also i highly recommend a diffused downstem. even a simple 6 slit is great on a bong like that. the single hole downstems are very harsh and chuggy compared to a 6 slit. pics:
