  2. You got it man.

THC is the mind altering property, and CBD is the main healing property.

I drink hemp leaves tea. It has a very, very low THC content and it's not supposed to get you high. I think it has CBD though, as it's a very healing tea. It soothes my GI tract like no other, really a miracle tea (not as miraculous as weed itself, but as miraculous as it gets when it comes to legal remedies for IBS). Well, it doesn't get me high, but it gets me very calm. If I drink it late at night, I so drift off to sleep... That means it's psychoactive. Mildly psychoactive, if you will, but psychoactive still. Because a psychoactive substance doesn't necessary need to be a wild drug, it just has to alter the way your psyche works.

So THC is the only compound that gets you high, but I think that CBD has psychoactive properties too.

That being said, I do intend to smoke a hemp joint one day, to see how it effects me. I also plan to use a recipe for cannamilk with it, just for laughs. If drinking the tea is a soothing experience, maybe adding some milk into the mix might make it an even better one, for days when real weed is scarce... :)

  4. I don't believe all that crap about THC being the only psychoactive compound. I'm no authority on the subject, but I've smoked a lot of different types of pot in my day and they all have a different high. Now, if I had to guess, I would say that the different highs have to do with different combinations and concentrations of various psychoactive chemicals in the plant, but that's just me...

  5. Nope, the cannabinoids add their own aspect to how weed affects the brain, THC is by far the strongest though.

  6. THC is the only "mind altering" substance in Cannabis. Meaning a person could take THC alone and get 'high' but this high would be lacking, history shows. Just refer to any of Pharmas attempts to synthesize weed in pill form...Sativex etc.

The reason there are so many 'highs' is because each Strain contains it's own stats of THC, CBD, CBN.

  7. An all THC high would be very uncomfortable and anxious,it might not be as obvious but cannabinoids definitely have their own effect...
