is soil pH 6 good?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by maxolahird, Aug 16, 2012.

  1. could someone tell me if soil pH 6 and water pH 7 is nice enough for cannabis growing with no prob?

A guy told me I shall decrease pH or suffer the consequences... my leaves are kinda turned up like closing itself... curving inside.

I think it's because of heat but not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. first and foremost, how old is your plant?

whats your temp and are u growing indoors or outdoors? try and get the PH run-off to around 6.5...

Around 2 and a half week. Was out now it's in.

I read that it might be Mg (magnesium) defficience... Most effects of it are being felt by my plant:

    Slow growing
    Leaves turning up
The leave's tip dry and die

So would u agree? If not, what are the cheaper way to raise it? Would bone meal do it?

She really develops badly everyday... Almost nothing. There is 2 round leaves, another set of leaves that comes after that one and the last pair that have 3 sides in each leaf

  4. 6.5 runnoff is too high. you will have nutrient lockout at that level. Plus runoff PH is not the most efficient way, get a proper PH tester.

  5. so pH 6 is fine?

Just applied some Epsom salts in the soil and sprayed a little at the leaves.

I'm almost sure it's Mg look at the images bellow...

  6. How is it too high? 6.5 is exactly where he needs to be in soil.

  7. OP, what is your temperature and what kind of soil are you using?
