Simple answer. NO. Sativa = Brain in a Blender. Indica = Yawn.. Most Hybrids are Indica heavy and don't have the real brain twisting effects a Sativa heavy strain can give. BNW
I smoked a sativa bud a few months ago. Got it from a dispensary. I was so looking forward to the brain high, but I didn't feel it. Unfortunately, I don't feel much from edibles either. Welp...
Depends on what your definition of relaxing is haha Some make me mellow some make me hyper, it's more about the strain itself than indica or sativa
Different strains = different effects. Ultimately, the sought after pleasures are: relaxation, euphoria, nostalgia, and/or bliss. Poor quality often leads to the disappointing reality that not all farmers have the same experience growing flowers.
The Sativa versus Indica controversy is marketing BS just as cannabis science has been critical of. Neuron synapse CB-1 receptors that THC binds to and lead to effects are the result of THC cannabinoids and nothing else. THC in either Sativa versus Indica uses the same exact binding molecule. There is not a single science based study that shows psychological effects are due to anything more. My own experience is there is no difference. I am just as active after a usual tolerance break smoking Sativa or Indica and both eventually make me sleepy similarly hours later.
I've been smoking close to 30 years. Everything is so hybridized it doesn't even matter. I've gotten satisfied dominant, that knocked me out, and indica dominant that made me think of bizarre ideas. Now when I ask my guy to bring weed, I tell him just bring the stronger smelling one.
