Is my setup Hydroponics or not?

    Hello,

    I'm using an AutoPot system (easy2grow Kit | AutoPot Watering Systems UK) but with two trays (I have more but aren't using them yet since its my first grow).

    Is it a hydroponic system?

    Plants are planted in 8.5L pots. I fill up the reservoir and the trays have some kind of mechanism (not sure what it's called) that makes sure the plants get as much water as they want - not more and not less.

    What is the medium, soil , coco , water ?

    Soil isn't hydro. Perlite, clay pebbles, rockwool is hydro. Peat and coco is technically hydro but it behaves a lot like soil so I would put this squarely in the grey area imo

    Apologies, I am using 50% soil and 50% perlite.

    It can't be hydroponics if you're using soil.

    That's a automatic watering system. Not a hydroponics
