Is My Plant Healthy?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by balisong10, Jun 16, 2013.

  1. my plant is 6 days old, and i am wondering if it is healthy or not. this is my first grow ever, so i don't really know what to look for, it grew to that hight, about an inch, in half a week, but since then it hasn't grown that much. I can see a leaf starting to grow out of the top, and a second one starting to pop out, but the leaf that already is out looks to be turning a little brown. Plz let me know what you think.

  2. give it 2 weeks and get back to us

  3. alright, thanks. today is feeding day, and i'm gonna check the humidity in the room. ill let you know

  4.
"Feeding DAY"... Do not, I repeat do not give notes this early. Just plain PH'd water for another week at LEASSTT. When you do 1/4 strength at first.

Otherwise the girl looks like she just sprouted. Keep the temperature and humidity in check, along with her water and she should stay happy!

so i already started them the first week, the feeding chart had a section for seedlings and clones, and i the nutes it said to use. should i consider them good as dead, and restart?

  6. Well by 6 days do you mean 6 since it sprouted or since you germinated them?
Because if that is 6 days after sprouting then something is up. I have some plants that are 7 or 8 days in and they are probably 4 or 5 times the size of that. One is already starting to develop its third set of nodes

  7. What is that? When a seed sprouts it should immediately have leaves.. that doesnt, so i dont know if that plant has the seed shell stuck on its head..or..?

  8. Righhtt? I'd like to see at least one set of true leaves by day 7!...Then again it is OP's first grow. Keep reading op! The more you learn the better.

  9. I have a feeling op is measuring from whenever the seeds went in the dirt instead of when they first sprouted. I can't look at that seedling and say it has been out of the ground longer then 2 days at the most. Either way, it is too early to really tell much about the overall health; but I will say this...

OP if you have healthy plants, you will instinctively know that you do. It is easy to tell when a plant is healthy and when it is not in these stages. It is mostly just instinct that you will quickly develop thorough trial and error.

Preferably 2 real sets of leaves. or about 2 weeks in. But there is no rule, you can do it earlier or later, it's up to you. Why scrap it? Let her keep growing?

because one of the leaves that did start to grow looks brown and dead. plus i gave it nutes the first time it was in the hydro system, and according to everybody, that's a negative thing to do

  15. so I restarted growing and my plant is doing much much better. now 2 days ago i made an amateur mistake, when i went to clean the reservoir and give her new water and new nutes and made sure the PH was right, i forgot to hook up the air stone line. and It went maybe 12 hours without it. once i realized i plugged it back in immediately and cranked her up. now the leaves were a little yellow spotty when i realized the air hose was out, and its been 24 hours, and the yellow seems to be diminishing, but i can't tell for sure. i think its an obvious answer, but i want to ask any ways is the lack of an air hose what turned them yellow?[IMG]

  16. I believe so but the plant looks somewhst decent to me
