Is medical marijuana a slippery slope towards full legalization?

  1. lawmakers in North Carolina are against medical marijuana. Theyre afraid it will lead to full legalization and an increase in recreational abuse. So now cancer patients cant get it. I see news stories saying the same thing in other states. Refusal to legalize just medical marijuana because its a slippery slope to full legalization for recreational use and other drugs.

Is this really true? Is medical marijuana a slippery slope like theyre warning about?

  2. In a nutshell, yes. But is that really a problem?

  3. Hell yes it is. Very slippery for those wishing to maintain prohibition.
However, some of us are in the garage, looking for the goddamn toboggan.

    And it's deep too. lol.

  4. Alcohol abuse is far, far, far, far, far worse than Cannabis "abuse".

Due to the wide-spred availability of Cannabis, obtaining it is really not the issue.

The people want it, it is up to our representatives to make it happen.
