Is Lst tech. worth it?

  1. Im thinking about pinching my nodes after the fifth one mildly and Lst'n my 3 bagseeds. They broke the 1st of march and ill veg. for another 8-10 weeks and than im flipping the lights from 24/0 to gradually 12/12 with another 3-5 weeks for flower stage. Which method would produce more of a yeild in this frame of time? would i have multiple short stack colas with few bud sites? or is this enough time to get more than a taller single style cola (christmas tree)

  2. Generally speaking, plants that have undergone LST have a bigger yield. By bending the plant over, the side chutes all grow towards the light, becoming multiple colas. On top of that, light is distributed evenly given all the colas are the same height (more or less). - So there are no whispy buds like you'd find at the bottom of a 5 foot plant.

  3. Flowering for only 3 to 5 weeks is going to be your big problem. You should flower for at least 8 weeks. If you are really in a time crunch, don't LST or pinch or anything. Just let that sucker grow. As long as you have vertical space. Veg for 4-6 weeks and then flower a full 8 weeks. You will be much happier in the long run if you extend your flowering cycle.

  4. Yeah no i completely understand the concept behind it and also the whole pinching technique whitch in n Lst type plant would be most beneficiary. My questioin is will preforming lst on a 13 week life spaned plant (preplaned) have a rewarding enough outcome to make me preform it rather than going single cola. Its a time issue ordeal will 13 weeks be enough time to fully benifit from these two methods? yeild wise. 15 max.

  5. Oh yeah madreef. My plants are now around 6" avg. after 15 days of light and i predict they'll probably be around 1-2 feet after another 4-6 weeks of veg than start my 12/12 for flowering? Oh yeah they''ll continue growing in flower stage as well right? And I guess my yeild will be healthier the longer im in flowering with the single cola. Hypotheticly how long could pinching and low stress take 6-10 months? Is topping a plant worth the extra wait?

  6. Well ive been thinking and i think ill go ahead and do the lst methods. I dont mind the wait if my yeild can be doubled. Just wondering though how long does it generally take until you guys feel comfortable to go into flowering???

  7. oh yeah should about ten inches of soil be enough if i lst? Should i wait and transplant?
