Is Leafy Bud Still Good?

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by Indicade, Aug 2, 2014.

  1. I got 7g from this guy for $80 and he says its girl scout cookies and I believe him but its kinda leafy, does it look good to you? And does it really affect potency much?

  2. Its good. If you ever grow you will see how it is.

Sativas like to grow a leafy bud.

  3. ^
    THIS.

    Nothin wrong with that bud.

  4.
Yea it's fine, the only downside is that some of that 7 grams is leaf instead of flower. I've seen trim jobs much worse than that though so don't sweat it, it's not like you got ripped off.

  5.
Yea some smokers have no clue what it looks like when we attack buckets of fucking donkey dicks with scissors.

If they think you can trim every leaf out then they are clueless.

  6. Im to the point where ive got that 90s tupac, " i dont give a fuck" attitude. I just trim this n that on a lot of em and leave hella leaves lol most of the cbd is on the leaves anyways...

Remember that pic i posted a few days ago that looked like a leaf with a bud attached ;) (more leaf than bud for the retarded among us) hehe

  7. Oh man, just from my 1 and 2 ounce grows trimming is the WORST.  After about 15 minutes of meticulous trimming I just say fuckit and start snipping away like a madman.

And lol @ buckets of donkey dicks.

  8.
this was the last bucket I did.

  9. idk if that was aimed at me but I never expect every leaf to be trimmed. I've had a lot of bud that's leafy but is still super dank so yeah, I was just wondering what other people thought about it

  10. that bud doesn't look to crazy leafy. I knew a guy who wouldn't trim the sugar leafs from his bud at all. he said because it still have tricombs on it that its fine. I however feel that we pay for bud not leaf. the leaf makes the hits harsh and also take away from the taste.

  11.
That leaf if you trimmed it off might be better than a lot of peoples flowers.

Leaf next to the flower gets super frosty, here is some hydro I grew.

About 3 hours running the scissors and you would get it. You have to be a crackhead to trim every spec of leaf.

It will drive you nuts if you try.

  13. yeah man I understand. he was growing for him self so it didn't matter to me. I totally support a persons right to smoke bud how every they want to do it. only thing I was saying is I expect bud that I buy to have a decent trim on it. a little leaf doesn't bother me but I don't like 'whole" leafs still on the buds.
But yeah trimming is a bitch. iv gone a few rounds helping friends before and it is long tedious work. I couldn't imagine working for a dispensary doing trim jobs haha that would suck.

  14. Brooo I just started getting bud like that, and it's usually hard to know what strain youre smoking in Australia..so yeah good to know im smokin on dat cookie  :smoke:

  15. its hard to tell just from looking at it. Mine smells fruity and piney, with a hint of chocolate smell to it

  16.
Stop looking it over and do a hit or two and report back on what you think of it.

    :)

Well shit, mine smelled like camomile and lavender..it had huge orange buds all over it and a yellow tint inside the bud

The high was kinda strange, I felt very talkative

  18. Ideally if you want to be extremely frugal your best value for your dollar per . is gonna be bud material. But I've smoked a lot of amazing weed that had leaves attached. It all comes down to the amount of effort the person was willing to put into trimming it after harvest.

  19. After a while ai just go into a trance, like my avatar haha and just repeat this meticulous, almost ocd like cycle of snippin scissors. At the end my arthritis is worse, but i can smoke the pains away :smoke:

  20.
If leaf affects the potency, it only affects it in a positive way. There's literally no way leaf would make it less potent. It's different if there's a ton of fan leaves left on the bud that no one bothered to trim, but I leave the frosty sugar leaves on my bud.
