Is just compost ok?

  1. Say i wanted to move the medical operation to the garden next to vegetables and such to save on power. The soil is on the clayish side but damn good stuff with a ton of worms. Can i just loosen the soil about a foot down and mix a bunch of store bought compost into it. Or would i need anything else? Id like to only spend money if i have to. The climate is definitely on the wet side if that matters. The compost is called black forest and it says its organic. I do not have anything to test ph with.

  2. ha i wish i could grow in my garden it would be amazing but traffic can see my garden i would say it would be fine just plant a few rows of slow maturing corn hmm that just gave me an idea haha thanks

  3. oh and just fertilize it like normal

  4. I have gravel and perlite too. Should i add this for better drainage?

  5. yeah it probably wouldn't hurt but if tomatoes and corn grow in it i'm sure your plant will do just fine without but hey since you have extra my as well use it
