I have 2 plants in one pot ( about 2 gallon size) they have 10 layers of leaves. I can see the roots on the dirt. Is it too late to transplant and separate? Or just transplant since the roots are probably tangled.?? They are very healthy..
I assume you're talking about Cannabis? First, never start two plants in the same container unless it's very large (20+ gal tote etc) and you plant them at opposite ends.. Plastic is cheap so it's really not worth cramming plants together, it's asking for issues.. Whether they become root bound and entangled or succumb to mold, fungus, rot etc is only a matter of time.. One will most likely out do the other and you'll have one malnourished girl and another fighting for more root space.. At this point I'd say just transplant them both into a large tote and train them to grow away from one another... In the future - one per pot, if you want any pot Ps: A 2 gallon pot/bucket isn't sufficient for a single plant - in the future stick with about 1 gal to 1 foot of growth expected - 5' plant = 5 gallons minimum
