I live in California and was wondering if it is to late to start growing? I heard june 1st is the usual cut off?
Depends on where you live. You could always do it and if you cant finish it outside bring it in and do it buy the window or under some lights or something... always worth giving it a try!
You can do it, they just won't get as big or put out as much yield. They should finish as normal because they don't go by the calender, but by the seasons.
