Hey everyone, I was kind of surprised when I inspected my plants today, and right away I see 3 of them are starting to bud, the top is full of pistils, and i see pistils on 2 other ones aswell for sure, not sure about the other 3 yet but no sign of male on them either. This is my first time growing outside and I just always thought outdoor plants didnt start flowering until later in the year. I will get some pictures up in 4 hours when the sun comes up. Figure I should add they are about 45 days old.
Yes I did start indoor, but they have been outside for 20 days now. I actually had them on 24/0 indoors for the first 20-25 days, do you think that is what caused it? I live in Florida
well what I am going to do now is just move these guys in for 12 hours at night into a spare closet and just flower them now since they started.
Well it is confirmed, all 8 plants ended up being female, so I am looking at this like its a good thing. I am going to start 8 more plants, and just move these inside for 12 hours per day and flower them now for an early harvest on these 8. The next 8 are going to be started outdoors from day 1 lol. Those are in 6 gallon buckets, and it is probably a little over 24 inches tall
It sure did. The sudden reduction in light hours triggered flowering. I intend to try the same thing deliberately with a winter grow.
