Hello GC, I have yet another question for feminizing seeds. After deciding i wanted to make some fem seeds and reading a bit around, i decided to use Tiresias mist, which is basically a very potent colloidal silver solution that does not have to be applied several times a day but only once. After beginning the grow though i have a question and i would be grateful if you could answer it for me ( and i have never been disappointed before ) Is it possible to produce male pollen with the colloidal silver, and then just let it on the plant so that it can pollinate it, and produce fem seeds, only wasting one plant in the process and much less time? I have a very limited amount of space and wasting time for two unsomkeable plants will be a pain, but if i can do it at once i would be delighted. Also if i can do it, i have heard that i need to let the plant sit for around 4 weeks for the seeds to become mature. When do i start counting these two weeks? And what if the plant needs more time to finish, judging by its trichromes?? Will leaving it sit more than that time harm the seeds? Thank you all for the help
You will end up pollinating all of your plants.....once a seed reaches maturity, it just sits in the bud waiting to be tampered with, fall in the dirt and get wet then it germs and grows another. Letting seeds or buds mature to the fullest is optimal. It only takes a few weeks to make a good seed.
My friend i wish i could have more than one plant at a time! This is why it is so important to me to only waste the time worth of one plant! Your help is much appreciated though, i had not thought about it this way about the seeds common sense
I totally agree if you need one good female plant at a time. Cut 5 b4 flowering and keep the best one for next crop.
As i said before, i only have room for one plant, so having a mother in my only space where i can grow would cancel any point in having said space. I would love to clone as i would be sure to have good genetics and i would not bother with these troublesome activities but it sadly is impossible at this time to do so!
Yes. You can buy some chemical that causes make flowers only on the part you out it on so it does t wreck the whole plant.
You can try and only spray part of the plant. So half of the plant produces seeds while the other half and other whole plant are fine. But it might pollinate all of it. Maybe not tho.
Why do you need a dedicated mother? Just take cuttings from whatever you have in veg... You never really need a mother, even if you want exact clones, every time...
yes you can produce fem seeds with only one plant. Im doing this right now. you're not "wasting" anything. the plant will be fully smokeable except for the 2 branches that Im spraying with CS.
